Last month, SnapAV named John Heyman, a veteran executive of the company, as its new CEO. Heyman will replace Craig Craze, a SnapAV co-founder who will be migrating to the role of chief experience officer (CXO). Heyman joins a talented team of individuals including SnapAV Chairman Jay Faison, COO Brad Redmond, and Director Anton Levy, who also serves as Managing Director at General Atlantic.
According to CE Pro, “Heyman’s background is in developing hardware, software, and recurring revenue business models,” and that “he was formerly the CEO of Radiant Systems.” Heyman has years of experience with cloud-based management solutions, and during his time at Radiant Solutions he helped the company’s worth grow considerably from $10 million to $400 million.
Heyman served as a senior advisor to SnapAV for six months before his appointment to CEO. Craze comments that “it was time to add more horsepower to the team,” in regards to the internal shifting of roles.
SnapAV is the manufacturer and exclusive distributor of over 1000 high-quality products for audio/visual installation professionals, and is considered the fastest growing company in the industry. According to CE Pro, Heyman was appointed CEO to “help SnapAV transform into a leading provider of integrated products and services for the connected world.” His experience with recurring revenue business models should help lend itself effectively to his new role.
Similarly, Craze’s position as SnapAV CXO will allow him to “focus his time and industry knowledge on building extraordinary end-to-end experiences” for the company’s growing base of customers. In short, Heyman’s added focus on growing the company will allow Craze to spend more time in the field as part of an effort to deliver even better customer experiences.
“The one thing that attracted me to the company was the culture that is all about how to make it easy to do business with SnapAV,” commented Heyman in regards to the excellent customer relationships the company fosters. Heyman also says that SnapAV is “one of the fastest growing companies I have ever observed,” predicting more significant growth in the near future.
