The world’s largest maker of personal computers announced record sales for the year recently.  And for the second year in a row, CEO of Lenovo Yang Yuanqing will distribute his annual bonus to his workers.

This year, the amount given to 10,000 employees for the PC manufacturer will total around $3.25 million.  Most of the money will go to hourly workers who are not eligible for their own bonuses or sales commissions.

Last quarter, Lenovo surpassed Hewlett-Packard in sales.  Even in China, a CEO sharing a bonus with employees is rare, especially since he already gave his workers a similar amount the year before.  The company has offices in Beijing, China, and Morrisville, North Carolina.  Yuanqing believes that employees should have an understanding of the role they play in the company’s success.
