It was recently announced that the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 Northern California Region for Cloud Services Award (EY Entrepreneur of the Year for short) has been given to Keith Krach, CEO of DocuSign, the global leader in digital transaction management (DTM). This marks the second occasion on which the prominent CEO has been honored by Ernst & Young. Krach was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year nationally back in 2000, which makes it clear that since then he hasn’t slowed down in his efforts to innovate the DTM industry while propelling DocuSign forward.
According to a recent press release, Krach joined DocuSign as Chairman of the Board in 2010 and took on the role of CEO in 2011. Prior to working with DocuSign, Krach made a name for himself by building the Ariba network, where he pioneered B2B commerce. Krach’s career got started when he became the youngest-ever Vice President of GM after graduating with a degree in Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard.
Mary Meeker, a General Partner at KPCB calls Krach a “world-class entrepreneur,” explaining that he “has been a pioneer in robotics, e-commerce, and digital business.” She also describes him as a passionate leader who is a visionary team builder.
Says Krach of the recent award from E&Y, “I’m humbled, and it’s a privilege to personally accept the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award on behalf of DocuSign.” He also goes on to discuss how DocuSign has a high performance team that allows it to “change how business is done and how people live their lives.”
According to PRNewswire, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. “We started the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards program to celebrate successful entrepreneurs, so they could share their stories, inspire others, and receive the recognition they deserve,” explains EY.
