Finding clothing that is sexy yet elegant can be a challenge for the modern woman. In a time when “sexy” clothing involves plunging necklines, short-short skirts, and the need for constant monitoring of “slippage,” dressing a confident, feminine, and modern woman can be difficult. Many women want to strike a healthy balance between celebrating their bodies and wearing completely conservative garments.
Designers Carlie Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are two such modern women, and they want to help other women feel confident in the clothes they wear.
“Our aesthetic is very sexy—but strong—with minimal edge,” said Cushnie. “We felt there wasn’t clothing out there for a sophisticated woman who wanted to be sexy without being vulgar.”
