Anne Sweeney is one of the most powerful women in business, at least according to Fortune Magazine, who has listed her multiple years in a row on its “Most Powerful Women” list. This year, she sits at a comfortable number 18, while last year she was ranked as number twelve.
The co-chair of Disney Media Networks and President of Disney/ABC Television Group, Sweeney has played a particularly large role in recent years, helping Disney/ABC move into the digital age ahead of other television networks.
Sweeney has repeatedly won admiration and recognition for her innovative and effective work within the television and entertainment industry, and some believe she might even replace Disney’s current CEO, Bob Iger, when he steps down in a few years.
