Drone software company Airware CEO Jonathan Downey says it is certainly possible that drones will deliver your pizza someday.
Airware specializes in creating the controls and software that remote drivers use to fly the unmanned aircrafts. While drones are somewhat controversial due mainly to privacy concerns in the United States and the moral question of its military applications, Downey has a much more commercial and human view of the technology, and says we can expect ubiquitous use in the next 2 to 5 years.
Congress recently mandated the FAA to approve drone flight by 2015 (it is currently banned in the U.S.), and Airware is readying its position in the market.
